Did I ever underestimate the time commitment to my class this term. I spent all weekend on homework and studying for a test. It has been keeping me busy and away from my blogging time. So let’s get caught back up on the happenings. I was planning away for our upcoming trip, when we noticed Chanel limping a lot when she first gets up. Not sure how she hurt her leg, but needless to say we have x-rays scheduled and I think we need to postpone this dog vacation. I still have my time off in June, so if all is clear when we see the x-rays, we will do something here in Florida and plan for a longer, further trip in a couple of months. I will keep you posted on Little P. That’s Chanel.
The other reason for the delay is due to some changes at work. A secondary purpose for the trip was for Alisha to check out the Midwest. After my visit, i knew that I had an interest in maybe moving there. But I wanted Alisha to check it out as well. But last week we had some structural changes in leadership at work and I am not sure what will happen in St. Louis now. So we will wait and do the Midwest at another time.
Dr. Powell gave us strict orders for Chanel to not be walking and exercising too much until we figure out what is wrong with her leg. So she has only been getting a half mile in the morning and then again at night. She is going stir crazy being held back from her daily routine. Hopefully this isn’t something that will require surgery and we can get back to the norm. We do the half mile and then Chloe and I walk another 1 mile or more. So we are still racking up the mileage. We walked 3 yesterday and then another 2.5 today.
I will keep you up to date on Chanel and our upcoming trip. If we can’t do a road trip, we will do a bunch of stuff locally with the pups and share it with you. That is if Chanel’s leg holds up! Right now, her and Chloe are thinking back to their last vacation and running by the river…
