With June 1st, the start of the 2011 Atlantic hurricane season, right around the corner, now is the time to get prepared. It is so easy to put this off to the last-minute, but save yourself the time and worry by following a few simple steps and having an action plan you can depend on. We at Dog Dazed will be in preparation mode starting on May 1st. Don’t put this off! While looking for a checklist for our pets, I was reminded by story after story about the many animals that were abandoned to fight for themselves after Hurricane Katrina. Owners were unable to take them with on short notice and had to leave them alone for days on end. Don’t let this happen to you and your furry friends.
