Doggy Car Travel Checklist

Planning a trip with your furry friends? Maybe a road trip up to the mountains or out to the beach? Well be sure to have some essentials on hand to make the trip relaxing and enjoyable for you and your dog. Alisha and I have a pretty good checklist that we use just about every time we take the dogs on a road trip. We always make sure they have their harnesses, collars with ID and license and the right leash depending on what activities we are planning. And about 90% of the time we have their seat belt harnesses for the back seat. We need to do that every time since it really makes the ride a lot more enjoyable and safer in case of an accident! We have a basic one that attaches to the dogs chest harness and the seat belt goes through the other end loop and clicks into the seat as usual.

While I was doing some searching for what others might typically have on hand I stumbled upon a pretty informative website. Check out Vetinfo.com for a lot of great travel tips and just general doggy car etiquette. This link will take you straight to the 6 essential dog car accessories, but check out the rest of the site. There is a lot of useful information to use on your next trip or just a ride around town.

We  added another 2 miles to our total today, bringing us up to 86.5!
